An Interview with Myself

I was at the beach last weekend, flipping through my latest issue of Fast Company, and I got this idea – if I was being interviewed, what are some questions I’d want to answer? Nothing earth-shattering, or game-changing, but really just fun questions. (Note, emphasis on fun).

So, I sat down and had an interview with myself. I even wrote it all out on the pages of that Fast Company magazine 😁

  1. Where do I find inspiration? The beach. Watching and listening to the waves. It’s therapeutic and inspiring at the same time.

  2. What are 5 Instagram accounts I follow?

@pridofgypsies — Jason Momoa (aka Khal Drogo, if you watch GoT) is probably the most down to earth and genuinely happy celebrity that I’ve seen lately, and he doesn’t buy into all the Hollywood bullshit. He is who he is, and is always positive, energetic, and fun to watch. Plus, he made Aquaman cool.🧜‍♂️🐠

@girlgoinglobal — She always shares interesting brands that are worth trying.

@glossier — I LOVE this brand. I’ve used their skin care line for a couple of years now, and it works! And, I love their branding. Win-win!

@fashionably_unemployed — a client and friend from Baltimore, her blogs about the fashion world are hysterical (including some of her mishaps along the way). And I love that her blog is laid out like a diary.

@eggnogthebulldog — This one cracks me up, and she’s a social media genius in my opinion. We have an English Bulldog, too (@ozzie_thebulldog), so it’s always fun to watch Eggnog and Igloo (even their names are hysterically cool). And I love that they’re always dressed in tutu’s or funny shirts.

  3. Pen and paper, or digital note taking? Both – if it’s just a sentence or two, I’ll use the Notes app on my iPhone. But if I have to do a brain dump, or write a blog, I’ll write it out on paper. Besides, I can write faster than I can thumb-type. 😁

  4. Three brands I admire – Apple, Glossier, WeWork. All for their attention to detail, making exceptional products or services, and their branding.

So there you have it.

Give it a go and see what you come up with!
